The person on the other end of the phone that is calling you isn’t from Microsoft! Microsoft does not call people to warn them about viruses, it is a scam to let them into your machine remotely, then charge you to fix the dammage they create. Remember, when in doubt, call us!
Be careful of that shipping notification email in your inbox, it might just be a fake!
All throughout the year spammers send out fake shipping emails in hope that you click on the link, or download the attachment. Don’t do it! UPS, the US Post Office & FedEx do not send messages with attachments that you need to download and open or install. Also, be careful when clicking on links within the emails, as they take you to sites you don’t intend to visit. Make sure you know where you will be taken by first hovering over the link, and looking in the status bar. If the URL shown doesn’t match the sender (example, FedEx Email sending you anywhere but Fedex.com) do not click!
Our spam filters are working hard, and are currently catching over 99% of these messages, but as always, stay alert!
Digital Domains is ready for Hurricane Sandy. Currently all tracks show a landfall somewhere between Delaware and NYC, putting us, and most of our clients, directly in its path. We have installed redundant communication lines, emergency backup power systems, and expect to maintain normal operations throughout the storm. Please note, on site appointments may be impacted during the storm due to travel restrictions or limited access.
Digital Domains LLC is pleased to announce our new Remote Support System! We can now connect to your system faster, and preform more tests with reduced download times! Call or email now to schedule your remote support session.
Digital Domains is your Full Time IT support company! Unlike others in the industry, we do one thing, IT Service. Our company doesn’t run retail stores, sell car stereos, or ask you if you needed a ream of copier paper with your virus removal, and we like it that way. So if you need a box of Sharpies, stop by your local Staples, if you need help with your PC, call us!
Wild summer weather also brings us power outages. Test your backup power systems on a regular schedule, and make sure you have an off site backup in case your home/office is damaged in a storm. Need help with these things? Give us a call, we can help!
With proper backup systems & procedures, no one should notice if your having a normal day, or are having a ‘state of emergency’. This was the case for our clients during last weeks east coast storms. While our servers are located in Northern Virginia, none of our services & none of our clients went off-line during the storm.
In the event of a loss of the VA datacenter, our off site backups (located in the Mid-West) can be used for rapid restoring of our clients services and sites within minutes!
Many of our clients use their Nextel Direct Connect phones every day, but next year, June 30th, 2013, the old Nextel Network will be shut down! Please contact us if you have any questions about migrating to either a Sprint Direct Connect account, or to another carrier’s Push-to-Talk system!
